The newly arrived ASUS GTX680-DC2T-2GD5 ships with staggering 1201MHz Boost Clock and 2 GB GDDR5. To fully harness the power of 28nm GPUs, GTX680-DC2T-2GD5 comes with ASUS exclusive DirectCU II fansink and five flatten copper heat-pipes directly contacted the GPU, not only making this card 20% cooler but also leading 14dB quieter operation than reference card. ASUS GTX680-DC2T-2GD5 is also built with DIGI+ VRM for precise digital delivery and doubled 8+2 phase power design in Super Alloy Power technology, compared to 4+2 phase power design in reference card, for enhanced overclocked headroom. In addition, proprietary VGA Hotwire allows users to alter voltages directly on a hardware level, resulting in more precise modification. GPU Tweak utility helps users modify and tune NVIDIA GPU Boost clock speed, power target, and fan performance via an intuitive interface. Moreover, the card uses PCI Express 3.0 as the standard interface, doubling the data bandwidth of PCI Express 2.0. The power of GTX680-DC2T-2GD5 also supports NVIDIA Adaptive VSync technology and 3D Vision surround. Decided to go with this one over the MSI Lightning.Maxed out it never breaks 70C in 25C ambient at 50%fan speed. At 1920x1080 it uses less than 60% powerin most new DX11 games with all the eye candy turned on.The fan is really quiet up to about 60%. Setting the fanover 60% has a minimal effect on temps. The factory OC ishuge and seems to be stable. There's room left to OCfurther if you want, but I found the effects on performanceto be minimal. It's massive so be sure to measure your case.

amazing card.runs idle @ 30c ????? fan speed @ 20% ????? unbelievable....load @ 50 in a very hot room while fan speed only goes up to 30% max, super unbelievable.my only regret is jumping to buy it very expensive from non amazon seller ( only option at the time ) then when i got it, it was listed for almost 80$ cheaper lol.

I got this card for my new DIY beastly PC. Bought mine at a different online retailer because at the time Amazon was selling this card thru an Overpriced partner (I'm glad to see Amazon has now partnered with Tiger Direct for this card at a reasonable price).This "DirectCU II TOP" card has Core Clock=1137MHz with Boost Clock=1201MHz (compared to the cheaper overclocked Asus GTX680-DC2O-2GDR5 has Core Clock=1019MHz with Boost Clock= 084MHz), both are triple-slot fitted with DirectCU II cooling, and both run their 2GB video memory at 6000Mhz (= 4x 1500MHz, quad-pumped).This TOP card in my new system is truly awesome, so fast and smooth in games it's like a whole new experience. At idle, just 79F and under full load crunching 4 Set-at-Home work units simultaneously for hours on end, this card barely reaches 135F. That's a true testament to Asus' DirectCU II cooling system.Even given the 20% price premium, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this card. Get it!
