A little back-story: I bought a Dell Inspiron 530 Q6600 (2 Quad Processor) in late 2007/08 because it was on sale and have been using it as my main desktop computer since.It's great!It does everything I need and it's a decent rig (in terms of hard disk space and RAM and all that--even to today's standards) but the power supply is absolute garbage,The cheapest (or at least, one of the cheapest) power supply/ies out there!I bought this card because of my 350W power supply and I wanted to have a decent fps when playing my computer games. Yes, it does Blu-Ray and all that other fancy stuff (and it's got two extra ports in addition to the DVI port in the back), but I don't care about all that. I bought this mainly for my gaming. And I did my home work before buying this card. I mean, it is almost $100! But for the price, (and i have looked at other cards) there isn't much else out there that does what this card can do.I have a 1920 x 1080 Dell monitor and I have been able to run all of my computer games (Tropico 4, Portal 2, Civ V, Left 4 Dead 2, Orcs Must Die! 2, etc) on MAX settings with full 1080p resolution. And I have been able to maintain a constant 60+ fps for all of these games. I can't believe the power I am getting out of this card--especially since it is running on a crap 350W power supply! It's crazy!I was using an e-GeForce 8600 GT before and though I love nVidia, my experience with their cards have always been spotty. I have always been forced to replace nVidia cards due to hardware failures but only ever replace my AMD cards because of upgrades.Get this card. Seriously! Even if you have a power supply that can handle better cards--this is just crazy! Furthermore, the Sapphire Radeon HD6670 Ultimate uses passive cooling. I have never used or seen a fan-less card before. This was my first time. I was scared--it's phenomenal. It's like everything is running on air. Literally.No regrets....but updates if anything happens. Promise.

I recently purchased a 37" 1080p LCD TV to serve as my primary monitor for productivity and video watching. The on-die Intel HD 2000 graphics of my Core i5-2400 CPU produced poor image quality on this television; black and blue text on white backgrounds were especially bad (despite using the latest display/graphics drivers from Intel). I decided to purchase this GPU as I assumed AMD's image quality would be far, far better than Intel's. I was right. My screen now looks brilliant and I can't believe I suffered with Intel's integrated "HD" graphics for even a couple weeks.I can also now occasionally play a few older games that I still enjoy. Left 4 Dead/L4D2 rarely drop below the 60Hz vsync at 1080p, and that's the most resource-intense game I play. This is not a high-end video card but for casual gaming it's great.While I was concerned that the included passive heatsink would be insufficient, I really wanted a quiet video card. I'm pleasantly surprised that at idle, the GPU stays about 5 degrees warmer than my CPU (so the CPU is ~20 degrees over ambient and the GPU is ~25 degrees over ambient). Under gaming load, this GPU gets a bit warmer; I've seen it max out at 128F in a 78F room. Of course, these temperatures are highly dependent upon airflow in your case. I'm using a Silverstone Temjin TJ08E, and due to the orientation of the mob in this case, the bulk of this video card's heatsink is about 6" behind the front 180mm intake fan but sitting above the rear 120mm exhaust fan - and I have both fans volt modded to silence. So even if you're putting this in a quiet, relatively low airflow case, you should be fine.Thanks Sapphire for making this passively cooled 6670 DDR5. While this is about $10 more than most actively cooled 6670 DDR5 cards, good aftermarket passive cooling solutions are almost always $20+, so if you want a passively cooled card, this is a good value.

This card is quiet. If you have more need for quiet than performance, it is the one for you. I put it into a system with WIN8 Pro, Gigabyte's UD5H Motherboard and a i5 3570k CPU with 32Gb of DDR3. Did the performance test with windows and found that the onboard Intel Video system was faster than the 6670 Ultimate. System board received a 7.3 performance and the Sapphire received a 7.1.It's a great upgrade if you only need a PCIE 2.1 card and don't use the Motherboard video. It's perfect for a Home Theater PC System as well. If you can support a higher card, I would recommend going with the Sapphire Ultimate 7770 instead.
