So far this card is great for not being in the GTX card range. Here's the impression of it before I ramble about how I came to choose the card:Runs coolDual monitors are just fine(one monitor I'd use the VGA out too)Doesn't need a power cable to the mother boardWindows Experience rates graphics at 5.9 and gaming graphics at 5.6So far I've played Boarderlands and 40K Space Marine at highest settings, Brink and Bullet Storm ran just fine. Divinity II DKS had to be set at medium/high to run smoothly though.Hooked up to a 42' HDTV and it filled it fine.I wanted to upgrade my desktops GeForce 100 OEM card with something a bit faster. I have a slim case and a 220w power supply so I had a few restrictions on my choices. The card I needed had to have a low profile, draw little power and be able to run games at a decent level (and inexpensive as well). My choices were down to the GT430 and the GT520. I decided on the GT430 with the higher bus speed, 128-bit vs 64 and higher texture fill rate, 11.2 vs 6.5. I'm not expert but the bus speed (as I understand it) is how fast the card can transfer information with the motherboard and a slower rate will limit how well the card uses the 1 Gb of memory it has. Because I wanted to play games with it I thought the higher texture fill would help with that.This particular card comes with the Afterburner software to monitor and overclock the card. It looks nice with slider bars for voltage, core clock, shader clock, memory clock and fan speed and a realtime monitor graph for each. I tried overclocking and it pretty much made the graphics in the game I was playing worse. It could be just that I just don't know how to change the settings properly and don't want to run it with a higher voltage because of the puny power supply. For me the software is unneccesary and since the card runs so cool I don't really need to monitor the temp anyway.
