Awesome upgrade for widescreen gaming on 3 LCDs!!!
By hellhoof
I am really happy with this card!!! I'm a widescreen gamer and it's difficult to know what the best hardware option is for 3 23" IPS LCDs. I mean, widescreen gaming is an investment as it's not cheap to have top of the line parts. I was stumped by what would be better: SLIed GTX 570s or this one GTX 670 4GB FTW+ card. No one was really sure and I became convinced video RAM was the central issue. Only way to find out was to buy the card and test it against my previous setup. I hope my results help you decide on the merits of this card.I'm pleased to say that 1 EVGA GTX 670 4GB FTW+ is better on 3 LCDs (6026 x 1080 with bezel correction) than 2 SLIed EVGA GTX 570 1.25GB SuperClocked!!! The difference is clear: VRAM. When I hit certain areas in Skyrim on the GTX 570 SLI setup, my VRAM usage would be pegged at 100% and the game would stutter terribly. In other areas, it was fine at 60fps. But, most of the time, the mem was at 100% and every area with fire made the game difficult to play if you walked close to that light source.I went to those same areas with the GTX 670 4GB and noticed the mem usage reach 2.5GB. NO STUTTERING!!! FPS would drop to 50 in areas with snow. Areas with fire: 60FPS!!! The game feels smooth as butter. It is also totally maxed out. Every setting is on ultra. With the GTX 570 SLI setup, I had a couple of things turned down to try and help in the stuttering areas.Bottom line: one GTX 670 4GB FTW+ kicks the 570 SLI setup in ass. And it's quiet! I don't hear the fan and the temps haven't gone upwards of 55 C whereas before I could hit 90 C with fans blasting. As far as the difference on 1 LCD: none. The SLIed GTX 570 were no different than the GTX 670. But for widescreen gaming on 3 LCDs you have to have a 4GB card, as far as I can tell and this one is the winner.

Big upgrade from sli 460s
By Blake
I game a lot and I also really enjoy my games to look the best they possibly can since it all adds to the immersion. I was running sli'd EVGA 460 sc 768mb cards and have been noticing many games lagging at the settings I want to play at. It started with battlefield 3 when I realized I couldn't run everything on ultra, I had to have mixed ultra and high settings, obviously since I didn't have the vram to run it. Running anti-aliasing on current games didn't usually work out well either, Skyrim was unplayable with any hd texture mods running and I just had enough. -4gb?- I was reading that many people believe 4gb is more than this card can handle, that it couldn't use it and if you are playing at 1920x1080 (which I do currently) its a complete waste etc etc. Well, I took the gamble anyway, it wasn't really that much more in cost, if you are already paying that much whats a little bit more. I even considered the 680 2gb as it was around the same price but from what I heard of people playing modded games and using a lot of vram I just knew i wanted the 4gb. Well after getting it up and running, and lastest drivers 310.70, this thing is unstoppable, which it should be at that price. I don't even run that many mods on skyrim compared to some running 100s and once I put on the hd textures and all manner of advanced tweaks like ugrids and tree shadows etc and an enb with the settings I liked, its running 3gb+ according to evga precision pretty much all the time and it looks amazing and runs smoothly (down to 25 fps in areas but not lagging). bf3 runs maxed out, (I turn off antialising post and motion blur as I just don't like the look) and its around 60-100 fps and 1.3gb-2gb vram usage. Crysis 2 same deal, 80-100 fps dx11 hi res textures extreme settings. 1.8-2.3gb usage with no mods. sure you could get the 2gb version and be fine I think, but for those who like a bit more eye candy, why not. Those are just some of the more demanding games I can think of and they all run great. Oh and i am running an i5 2500k @ 4.5ghz. -Temps- I did think this card ran a little hot personally on default settings, so i used the fan curve on evga precision and adjusted it to my liking. 76 c was where it would run normally and it wouldn't boost the fan up high enough. The fan IS loud if you put it at 80% but the same max usage also drops down to low 50s c at that. Though it never needs to go that high if you adjust it right. -Physx & pcie 2.0- I tried running one of my 460s as a dedicated physx card but doing so on my board makes me run 8x8 speed, and it does hurt performance not running 16x on pcie 2.0 though not by much. i gained 5ish fps in some games being in 16x over 8x which if already such high fps who cares. I do not have borderlands 2, purchasing it from here does not give you that, and it does not have assassins creed 3 either, and evga's site said it was out of codes too, potential $100 value there, does not make or break it for me though. So I did not get to test bl2 as far as physx goes, in batman arkham city it did make a difference having a dedicated card at least on average. 12 min 122 max 70 average. 20 min 108 max 58 average with just the 670. So i pulled the 460 out, no need to have excess heat and power wasted for 1 game, which runs perfect with just the 670.Hopefully this helps anyone with questions about this card, I have been more than happy.

Great card, and great service from Amazon
By the BURNiNATOR
First card was DOA, had to return it. Amazon gave me a new card without hassle. They sent me a replacement with free one day shipping. They didn't even make me return the old card before they sent out the new. Of course I did have to return it, but not before the second card was already here. Now onto the review of the actual card. Even manufacturer, and every card will have DOA cards, it is just the luck of the draw so I am not going to take off a star for that. The card is pretty great, you will have to do some tweaks in certain games to get them all to run at 60 fps, but most will. First card was 1176mhz stock boost, second came with 1150mhz a bit lower, but I was easily able to get it to 1202mhz without hassle gonna try to push it further latter. Temps remain below 60 though I did have to create a custom fan profile, something I recommend everyone do even if they aren't overclocking. The default profiles usually are lower than they need to be. The fan really isn't that load until it hits 65, so there is no reason for it not to be at 60 at 50 degrees C in my opinion. If you are running at 1080p or lower, and you don't use texture mods, do not get this card. Get the 2gb version and save yourself some money. I do use texture mods, Crysis 2 for example with Maldo's uses around 2.2gbs, and Morrowind uses of 3gbs. Skyrim will also go over with texture mods. I am almost positive other games will as well, those these are the only ones I have tested since having the card that do have texture mods.Just a note I know it doesn't say this anywhere on the page, but this card unlike ones from other sites doesn't come with either borderlands 2 or Assassins Creed 3. It wasn't a problem for me since I didn't want either of those games, but if you do, and the promotion is still going on when you read this, you may want to consider buying from another site. Though personally if it were me and I wanted them, I would say Amazon's superior customer service to say Neweggs is still worth the lack of the games. All and all this card is all you will need at 1080p, you might have to do some tweaking with some games to get decent frame rates, but really there is no reason to get anything higher than this. Great card would buy again if given the option.
