This card came in what I considered to be a high-end system (quad i7 with 16 GB of RAM). I thought it strange the type wasn't as clear as my earlier computer on the same monitor. Forget games, I was struggling to read the type in browsing, reading email, and word processing. I checked and all the hardware, in particular the display card and monitor, were properly recognized. I also checked to make sure I had the latest drivers. When everything was okay, I went to the PassMark website for further evaluation. PassMark will identify and rate each component in your system. The Radeon HD 7450 scored a disappointing 323. Out of all the graphics cards tested, the 7450 ranked number 536 in terms of performance. Other cards in that performance range cost $40-$50 and not $140 (today's price on Amazon).

While the ATI radeon 7450 HD graphics card is decent, in myuse of it in my computer i've found it lacking in certain qualities. while it will run most games for gamers, it will not meet the high standards of more recent games and their high demand of quality. Games like Skyrim, and FEAR 3 have issues running with this graphics card. While Skyrim can be run by turning off certain start up programs. FEAR 3 and other games like Total War Shogun 2 will certainly fail easily.Now i know theres a potential chance that it could be other things that cause these issues. my bet is on the graphics card since i've gone over my system specs a million times and have a fair knowledge of computers. And this is the only item in my system that seems to fall short.I recommend this graphics card more for the casual or non-gamer types. And highly suggest going to a diffrent item in ATI's wide variety of choices.
