I might be the odd man out, but I did not buy this graphics card for gaming. Instead, having custom-built a professional digital audio workstation, I was looking for a card that could handle displaying on 2 PC monitors plus one 32" HDTV, and this was the ticket.Despite giving this card 5 stars, however, setting up 3 monitors was a real pain at first. The ATI software, Catalyst, would only allow me to extend the desktop on to 2 out of the 3 monitors, but not all 3 at once (any 2, just not 3). All 3 monitors were 1920x1080 displays, so I was confused. It came down to 2 things that are not immediately clear:1) In order to even allow 3 monitors, the DisplayPort needs to be utilized. Both of my new PC monitors were DVI-only, not DisplayPort, so I needed to get an adapter. I purchased this active DisplayPort to DVI adapter locally Accell B087B-005B UltraAV DisplayPort to DVI-D Single-Link Active Adapter ATI Certified (Black). The card will not allow the desktop to be extended across 3 monitors WITHOUT this, PERIOD. Also - the fact it's a single-link DVI is not a big deal unless you plan to run a resolution higher than I am. Dual-link adapters exist, but they're more expensive (around $100).This particular graphics card has 4 physical outputs - along one side, a DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort. On the other, a single DVI-D (it is a 2-slot card - keep that in mind when purchasing).2) The three ports along ONE SIDE of the card must be used. Only once I hooked up all 3 monitors to one side of the card (the one with the most ports), one at a time, using the Catalyst software to extend the desktop over each one, did all 3 become active. So, my connections are: Active DisplayPort to DVI adapter - Monitor 1 (21.5" widescreenAcer, 1920x1080). HDMI - Monitor 2 (32" Sony HDTV, 1080p). DVI-D - Monitor 2 (21.5" widescreen Acer, 1929x1080.One other thing to mention - at first the new PC system would not get past POST or display anything with this card installed. I thought it might be defective, but it was only after finding the power adapter cables in the box did I realize it needed to be hooked up to 4(!) separate power connectors from the power supply before it will work. This is mentioned offhandedly in small text in the manual and should have been on the COVER. ;-)I hope this helps someone - I had to troll through forums to try and find the answer for the 3 monitor thing. Lots of people mention the active adapter, but no one mentioned using the three ports on one side of the card.Enjoy!- Rodney

Manages everything I have thrown at it, Ultra with BF3, All on high with SWTOR. Get this card Now!!Pro: Runs Cool and stays cool under load.It will run today's most demanding games. Get two while you at it.Cons: Nonse so far I am enjoy it fully.

Amazing graphics card, comes OC @ 870Mhz and its easy to unlock shaders and unleash the hidden power of a 6970 card.Very cool given the cooler gigabyte supplies - doesn't pass 57c in full load.
