Although I used this product's brother, Sapphire VID-2X DP-To-Dual DVI Display Expander Graphics Cards 4L000-02-40G, I feel that using this version of the product would be just as easy.Here is a copy of my review from the other version:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I use this for displaying videos on my two digital signs at my store front using just my MacBook Pro.+ Just plug and play into my Thunderbolt connector.+ Multiple modes I can use depending if I want to either show the same image on two screens or just extend my desktop so I can display two separate videos.+ Simple and easy to use, if I want to change modes I just flick a switch at the side of the unit.- A bit pricey. Although this solution is cheaper than if I were buy a separate stationary computer for the store.So yeah, if you have a multiples of digital signs and want to show different videos on each screen, but don't want to spend money buying a new PC, this a good workable solution for you.

I'm not the most tech savy individual and I needed to install several tvdisplays that needed to simultaneously display advertisements.With a recommendation from a tech guy at work, I purchased one of these Dual DVI display expandersand everything worked perfectly. I purchased this Sapphire VID-2X for my office, so I could increase my desktop work space. At the time, I had two options: buy a new graphics/video card for my PC or purchase Sapphire. As I researched a new graphics/video card, I found there was a lot of conflicting information on which cards to buy for a simple install that would work for splitting monitors successfully. This is when I found information on Sapphire, which based on their advertisement sounded very simple and straightforward: simply 'plug' the device into your DVI or VGA and Sapphire gives you the capability to run dual monitors, via an internal graphics/video card & dual DVI outputs.Unfortunately, Sapphire VID-2X did not work as advertised. At first, I thought my office PC could be the problem, so I actually took Sapphire to my two son's homes to try it on their systems. However, it did not work on their PCs either and one was only a few weeks old. Each time, the small LCD screen on Sapphire read 'Empty,' indicating there was no signal from the PCs connected - extremely disappointing.The only silver lining in this cloud, is Amazon.com has great costumer service, especially with returned items.
