My rating is based on the fact that this card achieved the goal for which I bought it: allowed the PC to play LOTR online. (Formerly it would get a not enough memory error message.) I am not a gamer, this is for my son's PC, so I'm only interested in that it fit in the half-height slot, whether it allows the game(s) in question to be played, and ease of installation, not the finer points of video card specs, (though they all appear to be fine). The card passed with flying colors on all accounts. After removing the full height bracket and attaching the half-height bracket, sliding the card into the PCI-E slot, and loading drivers from the enclosed CDROM, the card was immediately recognized. Checking Device Manager (on WinXP) it showed one more unknown device, but that driver was also on the CD - just had to re-run the install and the driver loaded.My only criticism would be from the picture, since they enclose 2 half height brackets - one with HDMI and DVI cutouts, and one with a VGA cut out, one would assume you could use the VGA bracket easily with the card. Well, the HDMI/DVI bracket is easy enough - it fits right on, but I couldn't figure out how to get the VGA bracket on without removing the DVI interface and potentially breaking the card. So instead of attempting that I used the DVI/HDMI cut and simply attached a DVI to VGA adapter I had lying around (if you don't have one, they're cheap $2-$5), and connected the monitor that way - since my monitor does not have a DVI or HDMI interface.Overall, the card does what I need it to do at a good price, so I'm pleased.Update 12/3/11- bought a second card to connect my TV PC (used for Hulu, Youtube and the like) to my HD TV using the HDMI interface. Works great, now I no longer need to use speakers connected to the PC to hear sound from the PC - it comes over the sound system connected to the TV. Configured the settings first via connecting by VGA, then shutting down, disconnecting VGA and connecting the HDMI port - seemed to work best.

I got this card because I had a gateway SX which needs a small graphics card with no fan and low power consumption since my on board video card failed. The thing you have to remember to do is disable the onboard video card in the bios for this one to work. Works great

It doesn't work. Im not sure why. We installed it in an old E Machine and haven't got it going yet.
