Runs Perfect!
By pache59
This card is nuts! Plays The new Battlefield 3 on high settings with no problem at all!Pros: Plays Battlefield 3 no problem!, Includes overclock software, Free copy of Batman: Arkham CityCons: none so far.Other Thoughts: It ran perfect but it made me realize that my power supply was not what it needed! I have to buy a new power supply because my older over heard. Also it doesnt say this in the description but you need 2 6-pin PCI-E power connectors, or 4 4-pin Hard drive power connectors (includes 2 adapters that convert 2 4-pins into a 6-pin PCI-E connector you can also use 2 4-pins and a 6-pin PCI-E also) it also needs a minimum of 24 amps on a +12 volt rail. Fantastic Card!

Perfect!

I got this card to replace a Geforce 9600gt. And i could not be happier! I play BF3 on ultra on large maps and smaller maps with 40 or so people i just set it down to high. Batman Arkham City on ultra, bfbc2 everything ultra and everything els i have tried on the highest settings. Played BF3 on ultra for an hour and it got up to 56%C with the fan set on low, quiet, sleek, fit right in my box! requires 2 pci-e connectors from power supply but if u dont have them dont worry it comes with adapters that turn ide into pci-e! All around great card! Highly recommend. Oh yeah 3 year warranty.

Great graphics but sadly the hardware has problems
By RC
***See update below*** I love the graphics but every few weeks my PC freezes for a few seconds or complete BSOD with a loud annoying buzzing sound. Sometimes it takes several reboots before the PC recovers. It doesn't happen all that often but when it does it's usually when I'm copy a DVD or playing a video, or game. This is a common problem according to the dozens of reviews that I've read on the various forums. I use Win7 64 bit and every time the PC freezes without a BSOD a popup exclaims that my display driver has recovered from a failure. So, I updated the driver -- twice in as many months to the most recent available. But the problem persisted. I read many blogs and found many solutions that didn't work for me. Many people blamed all sorts of things from, low voltage from inadaquate power supplies, OS going into sleeping mode, failing hard drives, air flow, outdated drivers, hardware incompatabilities, etc..After months of intermittent freezes I've ordered a RMA for a replacement card to take advantage of the 3 year warranty. I'm waiting for a reply still after a week (**update** they'd actually responded quickly, I found it in the email junk file folder). I'm hesitant to get the same card since others have complained of the same problem and worse. Usually replacements are refurbished items that may or may not have been properly inspected for the problem since many problems are local hardware differences and hard to duplicate on machines without identical specs. I don't like refurbished. So, I'm also saving up for another GPU. I don't recommend this card because of the hardware problems that I and others are having.*** see update below ***.BTW, I've used EVGA many times before and I never had problems with their other GPU cards. I've been building my own PC's for 25 years.UPDATE: Oct. 6, 2012. I ignored the RMA and kept the card. My 'freezing screen' problems abated after accepting the recommended 'native' resolution and NOT adjusting the screen size to fit my TV display (using the Nvidia Adjust Screen Size and Position function -- arrows to stretch and widen). I have a 1 1/2" black bar on the right and left side of the TV screen now but at least I don't experience annoying random freezes. It's been 3 weeks since the last freeze and I've logged at least a hundred hours of various computer activities like watching movies, youtube, using DAW music programs, word processing, web browsing and playing PC games like Skyrim. I'll update again if the freezing problems resumes. My TV is a Samsung 52" 3D Plasma. It's possible that other TV brands or types won't have the same freeze problems that I experienced. I am adding two more stars (up from my original 2) since the gaming quality is very good for this price range. I recommened this card. If freezing problems happen then you should go with your native resolution without stretching and widening.
