I formerly had purchased a GeForce Galaxy 9600 graphics card and installed it in my HP Pavilion Slimline PC. It was a 512MB DDR3 PCI express 2.0card WITH a built-in fan. After only about 10 months, the fan began to slowly go out, whining,grinding and sometimes stopping. This made the unitoverheat easily, and soon my PC would want to shut down. Well....I replaced it with this new GIGABYTE Ge Force 210 FANLESS silent 1GB DDR3 unit. Itperforms beautifully, and the best part it for me is that it's completely silent, yet stays cool even during heavy gaming action. Although I don't playthe very latest HD games that are extremely taxing on a video card, the ones I DO play are rendered beautifully on this GeForce 210. I'd definitely recommend this card to mid-level gamers, or somewhat graphics intensive program use. It is a low profile card, so it fits in smallerdesktops as well. A plus for me, at least. And the price was right , too. Very affordable.

Bought one of these to pair my old machine with my Dell U2711 with the max resolution 2560x1440. Worked great -- don't forget your Dual Link DVI cable though.

I read a lot of reviews and specs before I bought this. Aside from the form factor issue, I also had to consider the power supply requirements listed in the Amazon listings. I have an HP Compaq DC7800 Small Form Factor computer. The power supply is rated at 240 watts. The listing on Amazon included a 300 watt power supply requirement. Well, I couldn't find any other low profile graphics cards that had a lower wattage requirement. I figured that at least this one didn't have a fan so that would account for a small decrease in power consumption. The board has been in the computer now for a week and is functioning just fine. Another plus is that this graphics card includes all hardware for converting from normal to low profile brackets. In the past I have ordered low profile boards that did not include these. Be aware that if you are using this in a small form factor computer, you will need to allocate an adjacent slot on the back panel if you are using a VGA monitor. Last but not least, installing this board caused the video AND AUDIO on the motherboard to be disabled. If this happens, you will need to go into the system BIOS and re-enable the audio. Other than that, the installation was easy and the board is functioning perfectly.
