Needed a new video card that was quiet. This card is quiet but is larger than expected (fan housing is rather large for the class of card)

Anyone who use Windows Vista or Windows 7 has a performance score feature that can be found in the Control Panel. It is called "Performance Tools " Click it and you will find a big score icon ranging from 1.0 to 7.9. You can upgrade the score anytime you wish . If your base score is very low and it is blaming your video card as the lowest score in the list, then it is worth considering upgrading your video card. It depends on which one scores the lowest because it will determine the base score .. Well my 7 year old video card scored 3.3 in myh Win 7 and only 1.0 in my Windows Vista. I feel that my old video card has to go because I want to start using Blue Ray movies which will need a more capable video card to ensure smooth viewing . So I bought this new Radeon 6570 because I know that it is capable of handling high definition viewing.. After installing the new video card and then retesting my PC for my performance base score. it went up to 5.0 for my Vista hard drive and even higher close to 6 for my Windows 7. Actually my video card scored better than the rest of the ocmponents like CPU, RAM, hard drive but more importantly everything is all balanced out .. It looks like I choose just the right video card not too powerful or too weak. it was just a lucky guess. However, daily use of my PC is somewhat better not noticably faster, but I know that I am now good enough for Blue Ray DVDs. Blue Ray movies requires latest video cards not necessarily the nose bleeding latest ones like 7xxxx Radeon variety unless you are enthusiastic gamers to the hilt! Radeon 6xxxx is fast but I know that it is better to choose "7" on the third digit of the 6xxxx instead of lower numbers. You can choose 66xx over 65xx but this one comes with a $20 rebate, so it is a real deal here! Hurry before Sept 30 deadline!

OK Item for budget, but will not pass for gaming, rendering, or anything that causes stress on video output/input.Stock fans does not keep unit cool under extreme conditions/ demanding conditions... Ive owned the gigabyte, asus, msi and xfx version of this... They are all the same... save another hundred and grab a nvidia gfx card, they are superior to amd... you will not regret buying nvidia... (except the fact that they are power hungry cards... MUST HAVE A HIGH POWER SUPPLY UNIT FOR ALL NVIDIA CARDS)
