I like to build media PCs for friends and family - this is a great little MediaPC card for a full-height system (IE, if you're putting it in a low-height case, this is not the video card for you. Try searching for "low-profile" or "low height" video cards - a 1GB version of this card in low-profile exists, and does great for a low-profile system.)I decided to build a new one using some deprecated parts, but was missing a video card. No problem, order the same one I ordered for my own system and chunk it in. Only problem - the one I ordered from Amazon was DOA.Fortunately Amazon's return policy came in handy, but I bought a different card for the system and sent the new one on its way. I'm a little disappointed in the XFX folks - I don't know if the flooding in Thailand affected their manufacturing processes at all but it seems like there's a few more DOA in the XFX card lines than normal these days.Still, I find I have far less problems with XFX cards than most others out there. And this card is perfect for a MediaPC insofar that it has a nice big memory chunk without having a cooling fan to add noise to the machine as well. Woot!

I have the Dell XPS Mini Tower with a ATI Radeon 4650 that died. I tried to put in a Nividia card but my computer motherboard would overheat. I went with this one and it works ok. It seem about the same as the ATI 4650 as far as speed and rendering. I don't like the fact that it doesn't have a fan on it as the ATI 4650 did. Having a mini tower produces a lot of heat so I would have preferred a fan.The price was good, the same model was $20 more at Fry's Electronics so I am happy with the price.Overall a good replacement for my Dell XPS Mini Tower. One star less for not having the fan.I recommend the product for those with limited choices like me.Vidimo Se!

The 2 gig version of this HD 6450 was only $10 more than the 1 gig version. A deal! I do not game, so I have no need for a super OC card. I do use CPU hogging music software and I just want a graphics card that can stay of the busses as much as possible and run without any CPU support. Also, a fan is a big no-no.There was some driver problems with the Fuel.Service.exe file, which seems to be used only when the card is in Turbo-mode. I turned off the Turbo and stopped the Fuel file from running with MSConfig and that seemed to work. I just installed newly available Catalyst driver/software. Will see what happens next... I haven't had to turn off the Fuel ... yet.AMD's software is very well conceived and easy to use, with one exception: I am using the HDMI port at times for viewing HULU on my LCD-TV as well as dual displays. There was adequate info on how to set up a dual display system, but absolutely nothing on how to use the HDMI port. Clue: Detect the HDMI first, then set up a preset. After you get all this figured out, you will see the beauty of having many presets to suit any need. The software is quite versatile. Just run the software, select a preset, and voila! New and varied display/graphics setups with different characteristics and functions to suit your software needs.My last card was an NVIDIA based PNY. It was defective, registered, under warranty, and PNY did not want to give me a new card without my sending them the defective one first, meaning BIG downtime for me (shame on them... I'll never buy another PNY product again). I bought this XFX 6450 instead and I am glad I did. It is without question a much better card. Well worth the $$ !! Buy one!!
