Runs great and quiet

Pick this video card up to replace my 8600-GT video card in my AMD Athlon II X4 640 based system. It has been a great upgrade from the previous card. I was worried about power needs for a new video card because my system is intended to be a HTPC. Without the need for the extra power cable everything is great. Fallout 3, Bioshock, Starcraft II all play great and look great.

Not so easy...

GTX650-E-1GD5 gets all its power directly from the PCI Express slot, leading to a neat yet capable graphics configuration." Asus Website concerning the GTX650-E-1GD5My motherboard is an Asus CM6730-08(these are the only identifying numbers on the motherboard), I removed the original video card, an Asus GT 630, installed the new card and didn't get any video output. The fan spun up on the new video card however, so it was receiving power.I checked the bios settings and PCIe is the preferred boot device and not on-board video. I reseated the new video card three times to no avail. When the old video card was put back in it boot right up.The computer was just purchased from a big box store and has a 350 Watt P.S. with an i7-3770 CPU, 16 Gig of RAM, 1TB H.D. so it's a fairly new system.The wattage difference between the two cards is rated at less than 8 watts.
