Product Description
This graphics card upgrade kit is designed for, and fully compatible with, all Mac Pro models. (Please note that the Mac Pro is Apple's desktop tower; this kit is not compatible with the Macbook Pro.)
Simply install this card into one of your Mac Pro's available expansion slots, plug in the two included power cables, and you're done! No drivers are required to run this card on your Mac.
A short installation guide is included.
-Fully working OS X boot screen, just like the original Apple card
-2 DVI ports: 1 dual-link (2560x1600), 1 single-link (1920x1200)
-Analog (VGA) monitors are not supported
-OS X 10.5.7 or later is required

My old video card (8800GT) died and the Apple store wanted $$$ toreplace it. I found this inexpensive card and gave it a shot. I haveto admit I was a bit wary because the price was so low, and it isn'tthe official "Apple solution", but I was pleasantly surprised. I wasable to get this installed using the included guide and power cables(I ended up with one extra, since I already had one plugged into myold card), booted up, and my two DVI monitors worked perfectly rightoff the bat. I'm finding that the card performs better than my oldcard as well, so that's an added bonus. By the way, my system is a MacPro 2,1 (2007).

First of all the photos in the installation instructions were such poor quality that it took me a while to see where to connect the power. Other than that installation was fairly straightforward. The graphics performance is good but quite regularly the picture becomes static snow after the computer goes to sleep and then wakes up again. The only way I found to get it to show a picture again is to power off the computer, which is not quite desirable.
