Great Product, Buy it. But consider the following ...
By ybeard
This is a great product. I'm a financial advisor and love the multi-screen functionality. It's also cheaper and uses less than half the power of it's competitor, Nvidia's NVS 450.Bear in mind the following footnote posted on AMD's website about this product:*Important: When using mini DisplayPort-to-singlelink DVI adapters, quad output is divided into two pairs (displays 1 and 2 and displays 3 and 4). The displays used in each pair must be identical (with the same manufacturer and model number) and must be identically configured (with the same resolution). However, the display pairs do not need to be identical to each other. This is actually not a serious problem. I called AMD Level 2 Tech Support to enquire about this issue, since I use 2 17" monitors (one Dell using VGA; one NEC using DVI-D) and one 19" monitor (Lenovo using DVI-D). The two GPUs onboard this card can each be split across 2 displays (4 total). Each grouping of 2 can work independently, but if there are differences between the monitors within either grouping of two, you will need to purchase an ATI Cerified Active adapter for one of the displays within that grouping (maximum reqirement of 2 active adapters). Four mini displayport to DVI-D passive adapters come with the product. If you need an analog VGA signal you will need to purchase an active Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter. For example, Accell B101B-002B UltraAV Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter. Don't opt for a cheaper passive adapter. AMD told me to purchase the active version, which converts the signal and also allows you to use a passive adapter for DVI-D or DisplayPort with the other port in the same grouping.AMD prefers the Accell brand for active adapters. There is also a version for mini DisplayPort to DVI-D:Accell B087B-006B UltraAV Mini DisplayPort to DVI-D Single-Link Active Adapter ATI CertifiedBy the way, there is a really expensive active adapter version that also has a USB cable for power supply that outputs the mini DisplayPort to DVI-I (both Digital and Analog signal simultaneously), enabling a person to attach a VGA dongle to the adapter if needed. This seems to be a waste. You could buy both of the above mentioned adapters for less money, and you would keep your USB ports free (probably your power consumption too).If you're using mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort with DisplayPort Monitors, none of the above considerations matter. The possible need for up to 2 active adapters only applies to VGA and DVI monitor connections.Sorry for the detailed explanation, but this information is not easy to come by. I'm no expert, but I figured something was a bit funky here. Thankfully, AMD staff is readily available to help you to understand their products. If you need more detail on this issue, though, you will likely need to have them approve a transfer to their Level 2 Support.

Does exactly what it says. Perfect!!
By RlR
Needed a 4 monitor quiet trading setup. I don't play games so this setup works perfectly for my trading needs. Low maximum power, less than 20 watts. FYI with 4 display port monitors you can have 4 different monitors. If you are using the DVI converters the card is divided into 2 banks. Each bank of 2 must be the exact same monitor and resolution. It works perfectly as long as you follow this rule. Since most traders have the exact same monitors to create a seamless layout, this isn't a problem. My MotherBoard has 2 PCIe slots, so I can put 2 of these into my case and run 8 monitors in complete silence. What more could you want? This is all with Win7 x64...another FYI, WinXP doesn't support 4 monitors so don't even try. Upgrade your OS, it's time now.

Excellent board, but be aware of monitor requirements
By Multi-monitor user
This board gives you tack-sharp displays on up to four monitors, sets up for Windows 7 in a minute or so, and runs absolutely quiet. It's a great solution if you like multiple monitors but don't need all those gamer features. But read the small print on the product data sheet - out of the box, it works with matched pairs of digital (DVI) monitors: seriously, the same product number, not just the same resolution. And if you have analog (VGA) monitors, you'll need to buy an active adapter like this one - Accell B087B-006B UltraAV Mini DisplayPort to DVI-D Single-Link Active Adapter ATI Certified (Black) - those cheap passive adapter plugs won't fit, or work.I have one matched pair of DVI monitors and a pair of VGAs. Even with $50 for two adapters, this board is still a bargain, and when I decide to upgrade from the VGAs to digital monitors, it'll be fully compatible without the adapters.
