MX4 Video Mixer Very Dissapointing

Not to good for an upgrade to the MXPro. I just tested an MX4 before getting it out to a customer,and I am in trouble. The multi PIP does not work. The shapes do not work. The compose does not work. The strobe does not work, etc... The PIP can not be transitioned onto the screen, it just pops up, boing.!!! It has the ability to store jpegs, but no functions use or work with these images. You can go through a complicated menu to display a picture, that all, whats the point. There are only four inputs that can be used at one time, not eight as indicated in the literature. To summarize, it does not meet the mark, the current software is incomplete, and the features like PIP that could set it ahead of the competitors are almost useless because of the poor functionality. I would not recommend this at the high price point it is at. I spoke with Focus and even the manual that came with my unit has mistakes or the composite input is only 8 bits, not 10bits as promised. The video quality for basic transitions from one input to another was good when using the S-Video inputs.
