*Noise and Difference Between Commercial Grade and non-Commercial Grade*First, I think its important to emphasize that this card is quiet because several reviewers of its non-commercial grade sibling complain about noise. This is the commercial grade flavor, and it added *no* noticeable noise to an already quiet (Lenovo E31 small form-factor) workstation. In comparing pictures of this and the non-commercial grade sibling on PNY's website, it looks like the commercial grade card has a different heat sink that is longer. Possibly, it has a different fan too, but the bottom line on its noise is that even Spock, with his ultra-sensitive Vulcan ears would not take issue with the card's noise. This one comes with a VGA to DVI adapter, and it looks like the non-CG card does not. The color of the circuit board also appears to be different.*Performance*I needed a low-profile GeForce or Radeon card that consumes 39 watts max. This criteria vastly limited the choices. This one consumes only 27.7 watts (according to PNY's website), which is very very low when compared with most all cards meant to accelerate DirectX. I'm not a hard-core gamer, but my son is and he tells me he notices no difference between this and his GTX card. My only complaint is that I would prefer two DVI or two DisplayPorts. With an HDMI to DVI adapter, I'm able to use the HDMI port to drive my second monitor.With this card, Windows rates the "Gaming Graphics" at 6.5 and "Graphics" at 5.3. On a scale of 1 to 7.9, that's not the very highest score, but its well above middle of the road. Factor in only 27.7 watts of power and a $63.00 price-tag and and you have a 5 star card.
