I needed a card with HDMI output to interface with my home theater system. Based on great reviews I bought this card but after two weeks fussing with tech support, new drivers, etc. it wouldn't support HMDI except at minimum VGA resolution (forget 1080p) or support two monitors at the same time.I think part of the problem is that I could never get the proper driver to load. The AMD install package would crank for 20 minutes or so before saying that the package had installed correctly but the driver had failed to install -- but it never gave a clue as to WHY the driver wouldn't install.Tech support finally said they thought I would need to reload Windows 7 to get it to work - yeah, right!I finally gave up and bought an EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 512 MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 DVI/HDMI/VGA Graphics Card (also from Amazon). Plugged it in and it worked the first time - no fussing, no struggling with which driver might be compatible, it just worked - even the audio came up without a fuss. Plays Blu-Ray movies at 1920x1080 without a hitch.Forget ATI/AMD Radeon - Nvidia just works.

I purchased this card to upgrade the video in a Dell Optiplex 755 small form factor case. I converted it to low profile, but when installed, the card itself sits above the top of the door bracket and outside the case opening, not allowing for the case side panel to be closed. Strange, since I've never had a fit problem with any Diamond product I've bought in the past. I replaced it with and AMD 9600 Pro and it fits perfectly.

This low power video card was one of the few that could fit my HP pavilion slimline PC (S4037c) power requirements (total 160 watts, only 30 watts available for a new video card). I was afraid that it would not provide enough boost for my RTS gaming (Company of Heroes, AOE III, Warhammer 40000, Supreme Commander etc). However, after installation, my PC gaming (windows) experience went up from a low 3.2 to pretty good 5.9 !! [Compared to this, my friends gaming PC only has a 5.1 gaming video experience.] I was impressed.The only complaint is that the low profile adapter provided with this card had a opening for the DVI and the HDMI ports, but none for the VGA port (which is what we mostly use to connect the monitor). I had to rig up (with tape) the VGA port connector to a separate aperture in my PC.However, performance has been really awesome ...
