5Best card on the market.
By John Carr
I got 2 of these for SLI and I absolutely love them. Both overclock well over 1300Mhz (1313Mhz one and 1340Mhz on the other) without touching the voltage, and in my case they stay between 65C and 75C when gaming. For benchmarks they climb into the 80s. I had a Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 OC 3GB DDR5 HDMI/DVI-I/Dual Mini DP PCI-Express Graphics Card 11197-01-40G that ran hotter and louder than these cards. Not to mention that it was more expensive and benchmarked lower. For this generation of GPUs, Nvidia is has the edge in price and performance.Right now these cards are more than $200 cheaper then their big brother the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680 OC 2 GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/Display port PCI-Express 3.0 Graphics Card (GV-N680OC-2GD). With that price difference one would expect there to be a large performance gap. However if you look around online you'll find the number to be about 5%. In my personal experience comparing one of my 670s overclocked to an overclocked 680 my scores came in 2% lower. If you're willing to pay $200+ for 2% performance then you should just get 2 GTX670s and get way more than 2%. The increase in performance for going SLI is better than ever. The worst you can expect is 175% increase, and the best is nearly double at 198%. Long gone are the days of only getting 30-40% increase for going SLI. Long live the 670!

5Amazing card, nice job Gigabyte, great upgrade from GTX 560 ti 448
By Avalon
Just upgraded from my GTX 560 ti 448 which I bought not too long ago (6 months maybe), I knew that was a card to get me from the GTX 470 to the GTX 670 when I bought it but was not expecting this performance increase. I am seeing 45-50% increases in FPS in benchmarks and games! all while running quieter and cooler. The MSI 560 448 I had wasn't loud but I had to turn up the fan speeds to get the OC I wanted. On the Gigabyte 670 I don't! Remember that temps have just as much to do with your system setup (airflow in case) as with the cooling on the card. For instance people are getting low to mid 60s in temps on this card, but I get low to mid 50s. I have designed my case for amazing airflow with 10 Cougar case fans which are really quiet but move tons of air, getting temps in the low 50s while gaming and around 56-57 degrees while stress testing. Stock reference cards in basic case setups are normally around 70 degrees for this card. The main game I bought this for was Skyrim, I had given up on it until the new cards came out because I was pushing my old card too much to get 35-40 fps and it was causing lots of crashes. I am running at 2560X1440 resolution. This card is amazing, with Adaptive V Sync I am constantly around 60 FPS in Skyrim now and the gameplay experience is so much nicer, feels like a different game! I even notice the card doesn't have to work as hard with games like Civ 5 making the system run even cooler and more silent. This generation is really worth the upgrade, a stock GTX 670 blows away the old GTX 580 by 20%+ how often does a card that cost $100 less do that to the previous generation? As for overclocking, I never really OCd my cards until my last one *have always done CPU* but this thing works great. comes standard at 980-1059 and at those stock clocks mine was actually "boosting" to 1188 mhz. I have heard that this is the part that is the "lottery" and some people get a boost of 150, while others get 220, average I have seen is 170, so I am guessing I am pretty lucky (and happy) with the 208 mine is giving me. Without voltage increase and only boosting target power to the max 111% in MSI Afterburner I was able to overclock to 1080-1159 (actually running at 1288 mhz) on core clock and 627 on memory (3250,6500 mhz depending how you look at it). Running stable with stress tests, benchmarks and games. I know with a little voltage increase this would go higher *MSI AB allows a little tweak* but I don't see the point in doing so for an extra 1-2% FPS gain. If you need every little last bit of juice spend the $100 more and get the GTX 680 which overclocks even better. If you want to stay in the $400 range and are fine with GTX 680 stock performance (after overclocking one of these) then this is your card!

5GTX 670 Done Right!
By Six
When I first saw the 680 PCB, I figured nVidia would use it for a 670 as well, maybe cutting a power phase to save on cost. I was wrong, way wrong. I laughed when I saw the reference 670 PCB. It may work, but it's not for me. Gigabyte's not only using a 680 PCB, they beefed up power delivery with an additional phase and 8-pin connector. Top it with an exceptional cooler and sell it at a reference design price, now that's my speed.Regarding fan noise, one user posted that fans are loud past 60%. In a good case with adequate air flow, fans are not likely to ramp past 50%, even under load with moderate overclocking. Most people are not looking to push a card to its limits, thus most people will not have a need to manually adjust fans past 60%. With proper case design and normal use, this cooler is one of the quietest available.I'd like to close by focusing on the thermal interface material (TIM) Gigabyte is using. It's some of the best I've seen in my 10+ years of tearing coolers off to rework low grade TIM. A good cooling solution starts with quality TIM and good contact with critical components. The WindForce 3 cooler contacts the GPU, memory, and PWM components; many solutions don't contact memory or PWM components. Search for "hitechlegion" to find their website and check out their review of this card. Pay particular attention to the disassembly pics. You'll see the quality. Gigabyte scores big with this card..
