Well worth the money
By Steven L. White
Galaxy GTX 680 4GB is exactly what I have been looking for in a graphics card to power my 30" LCD. While my previous card - a GTX 580 1.5GB - held it's own for over a year I definitely needed an upgrade to increase the detail settings in the games I play. After testing the card for three days after receipt I can fully say that I am very, very happy with the performance. What I really like about Galaxy's version is the custom dual fan. The fan's are very quiet compared to stock implementations and I didn't have to purchase a 3rd party custom cooling solution to keep the noise down during heavy loads. This in of itself is a very big plus as it eliminates the issue of warranty considerations. One other additional benefit is the 4GB DDR5 frame buffer. I do a lot of image editing, CAD/CAM, and other graphically intensive programs. I've noticed a substantial increase in processing of wire-frame and rendered models and less swapping to my SSD during editing which is a big plus since it lowers the time needed to work on designs for either myself or for clients.I'm very, very happy with the Galaxy GeForce GTX 680 4GB. So much so that as soon as I can afford to I will be purchasing a 2nd for SLI goodness and adding two more 30" LCDs to make full use of the 4GB frame buffer.EDIT: Had an accident. A beverage on my desk got knocked over and spilled into my computer. I used contact cleaner to remove the residue, hung card about 4 feet over a heater vent and let dry overnight. Re-installed the card into the system, got one POST screen then nothing.I know this type of damage isn't covered under Galaxy's warranty but if Galaxy can do anything for me I'd be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, it'll be late February before I'll be able to afford to purchase another Galaxy GTX 680 4GB.

This thing is amazing
By G. Brum
I was skeptical about the horrible average rating of this product, but I decided to take the plunge anyways. I spent a lot of time researching different graphics cards for my new rig. I knew one thing for certain, I didn't want to SLI unless I had to, but I wanted the option to be there if I decided to later. As of right now SLI just has too many hiccups. It works well when you can find the right WHQL profiles, but when you can't, you will be sitting there frustrated... waiting to play your favorite games until support comes out for them, while all the single GPU users get to play.So initially I was looking for a Single GPU configuration that could handle anything out today, and could hold its own for the next couple of years, with the option to SLI if need be.When researching cards online, I came across this. A lot of tech review sites tend to favor this card (or some variation of it.) As it stands, it has 4gb of DDR5 VRAM, and has one of the highest base clocks, AND boost clocks of any 680 on the market. All I can say my initial reaction was WOW. Anything I could possibly throw at this thing... it just destroyed it.Battlefield 3? Easy!Skyrim? No Problems!ARMA 2? LOL!Planetside 2? ROFL!And although I have not tested it with Crysis 3, I have a feeling that it would hold up perfectly fine.I have maintained AT LEAST 60FPS on every game that I have played thus far. I think once or twice I saw it drop to 58FPS while playing BF3 online, with 64 players, all settings on Ultra. On games that I don't use vSync, this this is just a FPS monster. Serious Sam three is running at 115FPS with no drop. This is all playing at 1080p. I understand that if I was to go to a higher resolution like 2560x1440 I would sacrifice FPS. But any game that supports this resolution probably has a stable WHQL SLI profile already written for it.The cooling on this thing is amazing, I haven't gotten above 50c with this card yet under pretty heavy load. The updated version of Galaxy's XTREME TUNER PLUS utility isn't all that bad. You can control quite a few things right from control panel, and overclocking the card is pretty easy.Plus, this thing is just a BA looking card. All in all, this card gets 5 stars from me, unless something happens down the road, which I will be SURE to write about.-----------------------------System specs:NZXT Phantom Full Tower Case (Black w/Blue Lighting)Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H MotherboardIntel i7 3770K Quad-Core Processor @ 4.6ghzCooler Master V6 GT w/ 2 120mm Sickle-flows in Push/Pull32gb of Patriot RAM OC @ 2400mhzXFX Black Edition PRO 1250W Power SupplyGALAXY GeForce GTX 680 4 GB DDR5 GC (Overclocked)OCZ Vertex 4 (128gb) SSDWestern Digital Black Series 2TB HDDWindows 7 SP1 x64 Ultimate-----------------------------Just a note, at the time of purchase there was a $40 rebate for this card, and I have sent in the rebate. I am just waiting for the postage to reach California. Some people have said that GALAXY have a horrible rebate center, and customer service. I have been using their cards for a while, which is why I am placing faith in them now. I have never had a problem with them before, but we will see if anything arises this time. I will be sure to update this once everything goes through, but for some people a bad rebate could be a deal breaker, which is why I am mentioning it.

AWESOME CARD!!!!!!
By Mattty
This is a killer card and handles everything I can throw at it! This is my first Galaxy card and I am totally impressed. I have tried a couple of EVGA cards (GTX 690 & Dual GTX 670's) and so far this is the best designed one so far. It has dual fans rather than a single and it's has one of the highest base & boost clock rates from the get-go. It is also cheaper than some of the GTX 670's or around the same price range. Their overclocking utility is not the best and I would recommend using MSI Afterburner instead. I intend to purchase a 2nd one for SLI. Last if Amazon has a used one for sale, buy it! There is probably nothing wrong with it and it is backed by Amazon for 30 days.
