This video card was the last component I needed to upgrade my computer. Initially, I was going to go with the GTX 570 or 580, but then this beauty came out and I got to say, it is worth the investment. You really get bang for your buck with this card. I can play basically any game at the highest settings while still maintaining 60+ fps. I really needed a more powerful card because I am a streamer and I needed something that can handle a lot. I upgraded from a Nvidia GT 440, which is a huge upgrade. Although the 600W Corsair power supply I ordered along with this was a dud shortly after the power turned on, I was still able to use it with my old power supply, which barely met the minimum requirement (450W). It uses less power than the 500 series which is pretty nice. I would imagine it actually stays cooler as well. I never had a 500 series card, so I don't know what the temperature would be. The card doesn't even really get hot. I am also running this in a PCI Express 2.0 slot instead of 3.0. You may get a slight performance boost, but I don't think it would be significant. While this card is basically designed stock by Nvidia, it is still a great design. It's simple and it keeps pretty cool. This card gives a 7.9 Windows Experience rating on Windows 7. On Windows 8 Consumer Preview (which rates 1.0 to 9.9 instead), it gives a 7.9 as well. This card is just simply a great card. If you are a serious gamer, but you don't want to shell out $200 more for the 680 or $100 for the 670, this card is a great alternative. The 660 isn't far behind the 670 performance wise. It is also still a Kepler card, so you get all the nice features that comes with Kepler, which includes using 4 monitors off the single card if you desire. This card doesn't disappoint and I highly recommend it. And although it works well so far with the 450W PSU, I would suggest getting a higher wattage just to be safe.And mind you that the value is even better considering you get a free code for Borderlands 2. I had to max my old amd hd 5770 fan speed to play diablo 3 and sc 2 at high settings, and i would still get temp around 90C. so the hd 5770 was hot and deafening.since the upgrade, my gtx 660ti has been hovering around 50C at 60% fan speed (manually adjusted). compared to the hd 5770, it is very quiet.what i like most about the 660ti is that you can connect 3 monitors to it without using some kind of display port. i have a 3-monitor setup using 2 dvi and 1 hdmi connectors. very simple.and, one-day shipping is awesome, so is amazon prime.

This is realy a great graphics card for the money. I was able to over clock the core past the EVGA "FTW" class plus the Borderlands game, it realy is a great deal. I also incresed the memory speed so the bandwidth is now up to 230 bit equivalent, 173 GB/s. All games went 2 to 3 times the fps of the GTX 560 ti (I had that card for abt. one year). The temps are no more than 76C so it stays cool enough. Also it blows all the hot air out of the case so my overclocked I7 2600K CPU stays cooler as my whole case does. Other than that I was hoping for the price to be closer to $250.00, I'm quite pleased. Other than that since this card turned out so well I,m looking to get the EVGA "FTW" version when it comes out.
