I bought the same 5750 videocard from another brand, and it failed after about 1 hour, ( a sticking cooling fan problem).However, this card has worked flawlessly for over 2 months and is very fast on almost any game I have tried. On most games the framerates are 80+ FPS consistently, and rarely ever fall below 40 FPS, even on the latest games.Crysis which was a virtual slide show with my old videocard, plays reasonably well even on the max settings at modest resolutions like 1024 X 768 or widescreen 720p.It should be fairly futureproof out to 3 years or so I would guess, given the decent speed and DirectX 11 compatibility.At about 140.00 it was well worth the money, although you can now buy some of last years older videocards {ATI 4870 4890) which were faster for about the same money or slightly more, but no direct x 11.The only Direct X 11 game I have played with it so far is Dirt 2, and it played very well, but did not look noticebly better than in direct x 9 mode. But it's nice to feel that I have a card that should provide at least playable framerates {I hope}when more direct x 11 games become the norm.

To be quite honest this wasn't a buy I was looking forward to: my previous card, a Radeon 4670, began showing signs of "heat stroke." This happened to another older card of mine (Geforce 7900 GS) - danger of living in Hawai'i with no air conditioning in the house!Anyhow, I ordered this and installed it. Its added extra power to my games, which is to be expected (its about twice as powerful as the 4670). I was rather happy that it came with a power adapter and an HDMI cable (don't need either, but I'd rather have them than not). The dual-slot design makes me feel more comfortable about it since its got a larger heatsink and fan, plus an exhaust. The fact the 5000 series cards run cooler than 4000 series cards (plus use less power when doing non-gaming stuff) is a big plus.Nice thing too is I didn't have to replace my Dell OEM power supply. Your mileage may vary (so do at your own risk) but the Dell's 375w is running it, two harddrives, and a Q6600 at clock speeds. Overall a nice, reasonably priced upgrade.

The card worked fine for months. PC has additional fan directly above. 650 watt power supply. Using 2 DVI displays. Screens suddenly turned white. PC subsequently no longer even gets to POST unless I remove the card and connect via on-board VGA. Tried the card in two different PCs - same result. XFX will make you jump through hoops for RMA. You send it in and they'll "check it out" and get back to you.I won't be buying any more XFX products.FWIW...10 year IT pro on 200 user network, MSCE, CNE, Comptia A+ certified, yada yada yada.Amazon has always been good to me. XFX - they stink if you have a defective device under warranty and try to exchange it.
