I would like to start my review by stating that this card is not meant for high-end gaming. If you want a card to enhance your favorite high-end game this is not the card for you. Now on with the review.The MSI GeForce GT 610 is a nice upgrade if you have an older machine that is still using the on-board video adapter and for casual gaming. The MSI GeForce GT 610 requires a 300 Watt Power Supply at a minimum.Overall I am impressed with it's performance. I needed to upgrade from the on-board adapter so I could play Grim Dawn[...] when it is released. In anticipation of this I installed the previous game(Titan Quest) to see if our old gateway could handle it. I was able to run the game on Low-Settings. After installing the GT 610 I am now playing TQ on High-Settings. So I am confident this card can handle the new game even if I have to tweak the graphics down a notch.Installation was quick and easy. Drivers installed and even upgraded with no issues. The package even comes with the smaller brackets for small form factor computers.Overall a very nice upgrade if you are a casual or indie gamer and you need to give an old PC a boost.

I purchased this card as a replacement for an obsolete 4 year old graphics adapter in my AMD 9100e quad cpu machine. The graphics performance for this adapter was a decrease from the original even though it had 2 GB ram vs the original 512 MB. It worked poorly with moderate graphics programs (flight simulators) with a visiably noticable slow screen update. The worst issue was a annoying flicker when using spreadsheet applications. The high contrast black on white gridlines of the spreadsheet flickered to the point of distraction. Altering the clock rates using the included software did not correct the problems. The flickering was noted on both the HDMI and VGA interfaces. The card was returned.

This card was a replacement for the geforce 250 i had. It is not as good, but it does its job well(browsing, light gaming, movies, bluray). Its not a gaming card, but does everything thing else well. Using this rig for family use and building a new gaming rig. Very quiet, pretty happy with my purchase.
