I'm able to run Skyrim with the new super hi-res textures at 2550x1440 with no issues on a sandy bridge i2600k based system. Card was plug and play installation albeit a bit longer in length than my previous XFX 4790 card. bI was able to fit into my antec 1200 case with no problems. Card isn't loud, and it goes into lower power mode when idling. I measure internet browsing with a killawatt tester at around 200 watts with a power strip that has my cable modem, dell 2711 monitor and the PC plugged into it. It goes up to around 400 watts total when playing skyrim and this is including the monitor plus a few other small devices on the power strip. Overall the price was pretty expensive, but thats the cost of being on the bleeding edge I guess. XFX is the only video card company I trust, and would get a gigabyte unit if I couldn't get an XFX model card.m

Fastest single GPU video card out there at the moment. There hasn't been a single video game I play that I havnlt been able to run a maximum settings and play at a full 1080p resolution. I will have to get an eyefinity setup at some point to see what this thing can really do.Card is built extremly well, rock solid. The stock fan works great, runs quiet and the card runs very cool.So far I am extremly happy with this unit, I shouldn't need to upgrade graphics for a few years with this puppy in my computer. Their non-black edition 7970 cards to appear to only have a 2 year warranty now, but I've owned several XFX units over the years and have never had one fail on me, so not too worried about it.

Have you ever heard of "Beast Mode?" This card embodies that statement. Does this card perform well? Beyond well. Is it the Black edition? No, but I have never wished that I would have bought the black edition. Does this card keep up with Nvidia? The few lan parties that I have attended show me that this card plays just as well, if not better than comparable Nvidia cards.Every game that I have can be run on Max/Ultra settings. Battlefield 3, Starcraft, Diablo III, Team fortress, Dota, Minecraft, League of Legends, SWTOR, and so on all run amazing. I record and upload gameplay, so I run Fraps while playing. Works great!Initial investment is a bit steep, but I have not been disappointed. I would recommend this to everyone. Get it!
