I received this today and had it up and running in about 5 minutes.My setup:MacBook Pro 15" 2.3 Core i7 with Thunderbolt video output via a mini-display port2 x Dell P2311hb 23" Monitors with DVI inputs (they also have VGA, but I'm not using those)Out of the box, it just worked. I did not have to flip any of the jumper switches on the Sapphire. I just plugged into the Sapphire's DVI Out ports marked "left" and "right" and my MacBook immediately recognized it as a new single monitor. It is OK that the Mac sees it as a single, double-wide monitor, because the Sapphire actually bonds both monitors into one as far as the Mac is concerned. I had a choice of resolutions on the Mac's Display control panel, I selected the highest setting of 3840 x 1080. That was it.Then I fired up VMWare fusion and I now have a very crisp, fast responding dual display dedicated to Windows. The frame rate is extremely good. Perhaps not quite as fast as a dedicated high end PCI-Express video card with 2 DVI outputs, but is MUCH MUCH better than the USB to DVI solution I was using previously for my 2nd monitor.Thunderbolt Mac owners rejoice! You have a choice! This is much less expensive than having to buy TWO Apple Thunderbolt Cinema Displays.

I use this for displaying videos on my two digital signs at my store front using just my MacBook Pro.+ Just plug and play into my Thunderbolt connector.+ Multiple modes I can use depending if I want to either show the same image on two screens or just extend my desktop so I can display two separate videos.+ Simple and easy to use, if I want to change modes I just flick a switch at the side of the unit.- A bit pricey. Although this solution is cheaper than if I were buy a separate stationary computer for the store.So yeah, if you have a multiples of digital signs and want to show different videos on each screen, but don't want to spend money buying a new PC, this a good workable solution for you.EDIT ADDED: If you don't have a MacBook Pro, you should probably check out this product's brother, Sapphire VID-2X DVI-To-Dual DVI Display Expander Graphics Cards 4L000-01-40G, same product except with DVI ports instead of Thunderbolt.

I wouldn't recommend this product for macbook users because it converts two monitors into one large wide monitor, and not into two separate as it should. I returned it and found a better solution through newertech that uses my macbooks usb for an extra monitor, and it was a lot cheaper. The Sapphire also had a lot of flickering while in use.
