20120620:This video card is absolutely the best bang for your buck. There are so many dedicated websites out there with so much controversy on what card really has the crown, so many people fighting wether or not nvidia or ati wins this round. Take advantage of the fact you are getting the 5th highest rated card on the market!!! the 7950 is the most expandable and well performing cards out there and also when you compare price to preformance, it is austonishing!. all i am saying is i got my card on amazon for 320$ and when you compare it with a 500$+ gtx680...... well you as the customer win! so what the 680 gets like 10 fps more, if your that worried about 10 fps buy two of these for 600$ and get more FPS!!!! i can go on for days but all i want to get across is you win as the customer with this card plain and simple.20120626:After 6 days with the card things only got better. I was able to OverClock it to 1083 MHz GPU Core Stable 24/7 and 1457 MHz MEM Stable 24/7. I gave it a week to make sure it was stable. You can go look at some revies and see this thing really does blow the competion out of the water by a long shot! I am pulling 119 Watts at MAX LOAD and idles at about 60 watts or so. I used furmark to stress test it for a straight 6 hours!!!! it never got above 57C. If you want a great card buy the 7950 you wont regret it, the windforce is my favorite so far. I am buying another one this payday to CF accroding to alot of the reviews and forums it goes from 43 FPS on BF3 all settings maxed to 75 wich is pretty good scaling. Do not attepmpt 3x Crossfire AMDs drivers do not work very well yet lol. I hope i helped some people with this review! I will post my system specs since this is my final review.20120709:Ok i have a couple more things to say about this card. 1) I love this card and plan on using it for years to come. 2) I now own 3 of them which is complete overkill but they scale so well! they kick so much butt when teamed together its truly amazing. I have owned a pair of 4870x2's and they didn't scale so well. Then a pair of 6970's they did a little better but not perfect. Now a triple pair of 7950's and the scaling blows me away. I am now running all three at 1113 MHz Core With 1230 Voltage and MEM at 1545 MHz all are stage and carefully cooled in my antec df-85 case with 26 total fans. The whole system pulls 623 watts at 100% load. +'s: The cooler is fantastic. At 50% fan speed and stock 900/1250 clocks, CPUID and Catalyst Control Center (CCC) are reporting 37C idle and 41C peak while playing SWTOR and BF3 @1920x1080, all settings = high/ultra (BF3). My ambient temp is 71F and I have (2) 120mm front intake fans, (1) 92mm exhaust.Understand this: The cooler is not designed to only force the heat out of the back of the card like many blower-style cards - some heat will get dumped into the case as well. So, it is probably important to have at least one intake fan and one exhaust fan. I don't consider this a con - the cooler works extremely well. I would feel sorry for a card that gets installed in a case that has zero airflow.I haven't had any driver issues running 12.4. I don't have any FPS gaming stats, but you can find that at any review website. There are plenty of online reviews for this card.-'s: A blue PCB has the potential to seriously clash with system color schemes. Lucky for me, my motherboard is a black / blue combination that goes nicely with the blue PCB and my case is black / blue themed.At 100% fan setting, this thing is fairly loud (although the 100% fan speed setting for my previous card was WAY louder). The default fan speed is 30%, but I opened CCC and set manual fan control to 50%. I found that 50% is a sweet spot for noise dB / performance ratio. Above 55%, I start to get mildly annoyed. At 100%, the FAA stops by and asks to see my pilot's license. Flight sim, perhaps? So, I just set it to 45% and leave it there all the time. I have no trouble sleeping with my computer on and 7'8" from my head (yeah, I measured). 8)Other Thoughts: My monitor's native resolution is 1920x1080. When I first installed the AMD drivers + CCC, my screen was being cropped a bit (as some others have mentioned). About 1/2 inch borders of my screen were not being utilized and were black pixels. To fix this, simply use CCC. Right click on desktop and open CCC. On the left, you will see something called "My Digital Flat-Panels". Click on it to expand it and see more selections. From there, click on "Scaling Options (Digital Flat-Panel)". Within the scaling options window, you will see a drag-bar (or whatever it's called) that has "Underscan" and "Overscan". For me, I had to drag the bar all the way to the right (0% overscan) and click "Apply". This resolved the 1920x1080 cropping issue for me. I am now using 100% of my pixels. YAY!I'm using a good quality 750W PSU - no power issues. I'm running dual monitors: one a 23" 1920x1080, the other a 19" 12080x1024 for net surfing.

Recieved my Gigabyte Radeon 7950 3gb card a few days ago, btw, it was cheaper by around $100 on the best deal I could get in Australia (delivered) even the freight from US was cheaper than interstate AMAZON..ing :)The card and accessories are supurb!.. I had a crossfire setup with 2 x HD5770's prior, this 7950 is a huge card with 3 kickass fans but so much more quiet than just one of the 5770's.Am not even going to compare the performance (chalk n cheese).. The card simply popped straight in.. started up system and downloaded latest graphics drivers.. easy as.Runs sweet and cool, I couldn't be happier... great card ... great price.. great service from Amazon.
