The SAPPHIRE HD 7970 3GB OC with Boost Edition shares the features of the recently announced AMD PowerTune technology with Boost which is a intelligent TDP management technology with dynamic clockspeed / voltage / performance enhancement for games and applications. On its standard settings, the SAPPHIRE HD 7970 3GB OC with Boost Edition runs at 950 MHz and with PowerTune Dynamic Boost rises to 1000 MHz on the engine with the memory clock at 5800 MHz effective. In addition, users will be able to individually tune the card with SAPPHIRE TriXX, the company’s free to download software tool that allows key parameters to be adjusted for maximum performance.

I'll start with this... the card has almost the same performance than a Ghz Edition! runs cool, runs fast and is one of the best good looking AMD HD 7970!You got nothing to think about it, at that price is a must have!Voy a empezar con esto ... la tarjeta tiene casi el mismo rendimiento que una Ghz Edition! es fría, es rápida y es uno de los mejores diseños de una AMD HD 7970!No tienes nada que pensarlo, con el precio que tiene es impensable no comprarlo!

I bought this card to replace my XFX Radeon HD6970 bought in early 2011. The new Sapphire HD7970 OC with Boost is not only faster but cooler (an average 10-15°C less at load) and quieter than the old card. Its Dual BIOS lets the user choose between the standard 950MHz and a higher performance 1GHz preset.This card is an average 40-50% faster than a HD6970 in DX9c/DX10 titles. In DX11 the gap gets even larger. These are some results on my current PC (i7 920 @ 3.8GHz, 6Gb RAM, Catalyst 12.11):(HD7970 vs HD6970 results)Crysis Very High AA8x DX10 1680x1050:62,75 vs 43,15 FPSCrysis Very High AA8x DX10 2560x1600:32,75 vs 21,03 FPS3DMark Vantage GPU score - Peformance:32528 vs 22112 pts3DMark 11 GPU score - Peformance:9420 vs 5581 ptsHeaven Benchmark 3.0 - Tessellation Extreme AA8x 1680X1050:1202 vs 725 ptsOverclock: I maxed at 1175/1500, a ~20% overclock. The card comes with stock voltage 1.256V so I didnt have to change the voltages in order to achieve this clocks. Yes, voltage control is possible using the latest version of Trixx (4.4.0b).Extra: It comes bundled with a 1.8m HDMI 1.4a which was very useful. AMD is bundling free copies of Hitman: Absolution, Far Cry 3 and Sleeping Dogs and 20% discount on Medal of Honor: Warfighter if you buy a HD7900 Series card. Amazon sent me the download codes right after my purchase.Obs: My card came with dual 8-pin power connectors, which is weird considering the specs listed at Sapphire's website mention 6+8 pin connectors.

This is a compleatly non reference card, model 11197-03-40G. Both the PCB and cooling are non reference. Some people refer to it by the PCB color, blue (reference designs being brown). Despite the non reference design and OC/Boost branding it is voltage unlocked. I was able to get a moderate OC of 1155 out of it without overvolting, using the stock cooling. Currently pulling around 700 M hash at that clock rate in cgminer (bitcoin processing). Haven't played a game on it yet, but with numbers like that I bet it's a beast.
