This is currently less expensive than it was when I bought it at $249.99, and it was completely worth it.My last two cards were an 8600GT and a GTX-260, both mid-range cards at the time of purchase. I chose these, since, at the time, nVidia was king and they had the best drivers. I had heard terrible things about the ATI drivers, and just avoided the cards.Admittedly, I took a gamble with this card in a new rig, and I've been pleasantly surprised. I've had zero problems with the drivers on Windows 7 x64. The card runs cool and it is very quiet, far quieter than the 8600 and GTX-260. Every game that I've thrown at it runs as smooth as silk, even on the highest settings at 1920x1080. It also uses significantly less power than current nVidia cards.While the cooler on this card does help it run at a lower temperature, it is big. The card fit in my case (Antec Three Hundred ATX) with about a quarter inch to spare.

i used gpu tweaker to overclock it to 1050 mhz and i was able to play minecraft at like 150 fps and battlefield 3 ultra max setting on caspian border at around 45 fps!!! this graphics card is amazing, i just built my first gaming rig and i couldnt be happier!

Fairly good video card. Note if you are looking to overclock, voltage is locked on this one (as most are). I was unable to run the card at anything higher than 1150 MHz on stock voltage.Card does have an excellent cooler which is easy to remove should you decide to get a new one.
