I ordered this hoping to add 2 channels of ATSC tuning to my existing Media Center system, which already has one Silicon Dust Homerun HD dual network tuner. Following the instructions, it installed without problem (windows 7 home premium running on a cheap but late-model Acer desktop). I have an amplified omni-directional "HD" antenna at the highest point in my attic (yes, inside). The HD Homerun picks up all channels in my area except CBS. The WinTV card only found one channel (NBC), and that one comes in fine. The HD Homerun still gets all except CBS, even with a simple splitter splitting the antenna's output to both the WinTV card and the HD Homerun. My Conclusion: the winTV card is fine if you have a strong signal in your area, but the HD Homerun is more sensitive.UPDATED 2/20/2013 Found out that 2 of my channels (ones I was having trouble with) are actually in the High-VHF range (7 and 13), not UHF, and the amplified antenna I bought is strictly for UHF. I added a VHF antenna and a $5 combiner from Radio shack, and all tuners work fine now. Free TV is great. Buy a huge hard drive or two!

This card is (including remote and software) is only $129 direct from the manufacturer. It is $115 or less all over the web.
