This card is a beauty at the price I paid for it, 199.00 USD - I remember buying an 8800 GT for $250 back in 2007, so this price was excellent for me.I had multiple factors to consider when purchasing this card; I had a roughly set-in-stone budget of $200, I have a knock-off brand PSU rated at 600 watts, and on top of this the 7850 is slightly smaller than the 7870's I was looking at, which was a consideration as I have limited space for upgrades in my case.The performance jump from my 6670 1 gb card which came with my pc to the 7850 2gb is without a doubt noticeable. I can max out just about everything with consistent 30+ frames per second, but as my cousin pointed out to me, in certain games such as mmos, why have the rendering distance set to max when the game is filled with hills and trees blocking your view?Lowering rendering distance obviously improves the performance of the card, but it can handle anything I've thrown at it with no issues. It's a matter of wanting 30 frames per second versus closer to the typical framerate of most monitors, which is 60 frames per second. Please note on most games I DO get closer to 60 fps.One thing to note with this card is that it is extremely quiet and mysteriously with some games when I set some of the higher end eye candy settings lower, the games look better and it performs better. Take The Secret World - it can run the game with everything maxed at 30-35 fps, but going to advanced settings and performing a few tweaks yields 50-60 fps and I'm not kidding, the game looks better with certain settings lowered.I'm not going to lie, the card isn't the absolute best if money is no issue, so if you can run and pay for a 7870 or higher, do it - but for someone on a budget like I was, especially someone with a 500watt to 600watt PSU, this is your card.You may want to shop around since this card comes with free games on other retail sites but not on Amazon.com - and the promotion department would not match the promos offered by other sites.Here are my specs:Quad core 3.4 ghz Phenom II 965 Black Edition8 GB Corsair 1600 DDR3 RAM600 Watt XtremeGear PSU (told you it was a cheap one ;) )1tb Hitachi 7,200 RPM HDDWindows 7 Home Premium x64-- Don't let my comments discourage you from this card. This card still rates at 7.9 on Windows 7's performance index, and is well worth the $200 asking price considering for the same performance from Nvidia you're looking at $250-$300 minimum unless you get a used card. I have no regrets getting this baby and I recommend it 100% but felt that I would be lying if I told you it can max everything at a solid 60fps. MOST games it runs maxed at 60fps on my rig, and most is good enough for me until I build a new system in 2-4 years. I LOVE THIS CARD.Just make sure you install HIS' drivers from their website if you do get this card. AMD is not known for bugless drivers and HIS fine-tune them to optimize the cards to perform better.
