I spent the better part of an evening into the night trying to figure out how to get the software to work. I'm running a brand new build - Windows 7, 8GB ram, quad-core 4.1ghz AMD. The included drivers worked great! But as far as the capture software...that's another story.I tried the included AMCap, I tried WINtv downloaded straight from Hauppauge's site, I tried MSDVR, Dscaler, powercinema, Windows Media Center's built in tuner sofware, EZgrabber, MythTV, and NextPVR, but nothing worked. Now I knew I had the newest drivers, and the best I could get was either no sound, (through AMcap,) or a 3 frame-per-second recording (through WinTV) until I decided to use some old software I had laying around. All the other software I listed wouldn't even display a picture.The ONE AND ONLY utility I could get to work with this tuner card was Honestech's "DVD to VHS 3.0". (I didn't try 5.0, but 4.0 worked too.) This software was meant to be used with iGrabber - a USB capture device for Mac (and sorta Windows - when it's not crashing).The color and sound is great. I really don't have much to compare it too except for the iGrabber and it looks exactly the same. I sent back the iGrabber because it was freezing up on my Windows system. (I've had really bad luck with these capture cards.)Once I got the all the software sorted out, it's a pretty great product! Of course it's so old that it's not going to tune any digital channels, but I just use it for copying home videos over to dvd.

This was a replacement part from my 7 year old HP Media Center PC. I only use the video and audio inputs on this card and it works great! It does not have the white label as shown but otherwise it is just like the OEM PCI card.
